Unless you played on premade fortress maps like Minas tirith or helms deep, in which case it's more like the original game.

In the second one, walls were changed to be like walls in age of empires, just barriers, but you could put catapults or arrow towers along them. If you were playing as Rohan or Gondor you had massive walls you garrisoned with your men, being able to build trebuchets or hidden entrances along the walls, made singing a super fun part of the game. However, the first one did castles better. The first one has a kind of "build spot mechanic" so you are limited to what you can build at one time within your area, where as the second one is more along a traditional rts in terms of base building.

I'd definitely recommend both, but it's easier to get the second one. Late to the party, but I thought I'd chime in. We've got the full list of The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. From reading comments on previous stories, this appears to have been all but unobtainable to the vast majority of players, and currently offers a nice TA score and ratio.Īs reported last week, EA has already given the Xbox 360 servers an extension until 11th January, 2011, before they will be permanently shutdown resetting the leader boards is a nice touch to the games community and has certainly improved my opinion of EA in the process. It also makes The Hobbit and the Troll achievement a lot easier to obtain. Whilst the achievement offers zero Gamescore, for many this is the last achievement needed for 100% completion. This means that the previously unobtainable Try a tutorial achievement is now available. Although we have received no official word directly from EA, many of you have been reporting over the last couple of days that the leaderboards for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II have now been reset.
